We collect the following information depending on how you use MelodyMinds:

Account Information

When you create an account or sign in, we collect information through our authentication provider, Clerk. This includes:

• First and last name
• Profile image URL
• A unique account identifier

Game Data

When you play MelodyMinds, we collect and store game session data, including:

• Game scores, streaks, and accuracy
• Number of attempts and correct answers
• Average response times
• Selected game settings (clef, difficulty, instrument, game mode)
• Date of each game session

Payment Information

If you purchase a premium upgrade, payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not collect or store your credit card number or full payment details. We store only:

• Lemon Squeezy customer ID
• Lemon Squeezy order ID
• Premium status

Usage Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, visitor counts, and general performance metrics. This data does not include personal information and is used solely to improve the application.

MelodyMinds stores your game settings and session progress locally in your browser using localStorage. This data stays on your device and is used to restore your preferences and in-progress game state between visits. If you are signed in, your game session results are also saved to our database so that your progress persists across devices.

All audio in MelodyMinds (instrument sounds, note playback) is synthesized entirely within your browser using the Web Audio API. No audio data is recorded, transmitted, or stored on our servers.

Your information is used solely to:

• Authenticate your account and manage sign-in sessions
• Save your game progress, statistics, and achievements
• Process and manage premium upgrades
• Enforce daily play limits for free-tier users
• Improve and optimize the application based on anonymous analytics

MelodyMinds relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Clerk— authentication and user management. Clerk may set cookies to manage sign-in sessions.
• Lemon Squeezy— payment processing for premium upgrades. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment card data directly.
• Vercel— application hosting and anonymous usage analytics.

MelodyMinds uses cookies set by our authentication provider (Clerk) to manage your sign-in session. Vercel Analytics may also use cookies or similar technologies for anonymous usage tracking. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Account and game session data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Vercel. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be removed from our systems. Local browser data (localStorage) can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Reset your game progress at any time from within the app
